Yoga Benefits for Men utime Fitness Studios

Yoga holds numerous benefits for both women and men, from improving your sex life, to increasing productivity at the office. Many men often seem to overlook yoga, thinking that it is only a good workout for women. This is untrue! There are many benefits men can reap from a good yoga workout– like the sessions we now offer at utime Fitness Studios.
Below we’ve included five reasons men should add yoga to their fitness schedule:
  1. Improving your sex life
According to a study conducted in 2010, yoga improves sexual function for men. Benefits include: increased arousal, better erections, better ejaculation control, and improved overall performance. How?
Any anxiety you may have when it comes to sex will decrease, as yoga helps you become more aware of your body and increases your control. The increased blood flow from yoga practice improves the quality of your erections and the improved control of your pelvic floor will result in longer and better orgasms.
 2. Decreased injuries
You often experience all sorts of aches, pains, and injuries from lack of physical activity or a sedentary lifestyle. Yoga helps prevent you picking up injuries by strengthening muscles and joints, as well as increased flexibility.  Your range of motion will also improve as yoga reduces the tightness you feel in your muscles and joints. Other benefits of yoga include improving your posture and correcting your body’s alignment.
 3. Tone and build muscle
Many men are under the impression that only weight lifting can build muscle.  However, this is untrue– yoga uses your bodyweight to build muscle! Yoga lengthens the tissues and muscles while also improving your blood flow.  An increase in blood flow means your muscles will get more oxygen which allows for faster recovery time.
 4. Increases productivity
Due to our fast-paced lifestyles, we often feel tired and rundown. A twenty-minute yoga session has shown to improve emotional control, memory, and energy levels.  Improved memory and energy levels mean you retain information for longer, thus you can make better decisions and have more focus and concentration.
Yoga has a meditation element to it that also has numerous benefits to your mental and physical well-being.  Meditation has been proven to increase concentration, focus and energy levels.
 5. Improves the immune system
Practicing yoga will also help you recover from colds and flu faster.  Research has shown that regular yoga sessions help to boost your immune system and improves your body’s natural defenses.
The benefits of practicing yoga are numerous, for both men and women. Yoga is a challenging practice that pushes you mentally and physically.  You will quickly start seeing your daily workouts at utime as your ‘me-time’ breaks away from your hectic schedule! utime Fitness Studios are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, offer affordable rates and will never lock you into a contract– No Contracts Ever! China is one of the fastest growing economies in the world.  Primasia is the partner you need to assist with setting up and growing your business in Hong Kong and China. Hong Kong is known as “the gateway to China”, and the growing consumer economy in China is making companies of every size look Eastward for their share of the growing market– and to increase profit margins. Primasia’s team of experts is available to advise you about the various options available throughout both China and Hong Kong.
  2. Decide on a business model
As mentioned in Starting a Business in China: Part 1, there are two main business models used in China: The Sales Office via Labour Dispatch and the Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE).
There are two other options: joint venture and representative offices. Each option has its own advantages and disadvantages. Whether to go for a WFOE or a representative office will be depending on your expansion plan to China. Primasia will understand your business nature and business plan, and will provide a market entry solution that suits you.
  3. Protect and trademark your intellectual property
Much of the foreign-owned businesses fall foul of intellectual property laws in China.  Many assume that because they possess a trademark in their home country, that it will automatically transfer to China.  However, that does not happen as China’s intellectual property laws a lot different to most other countries. The first person to register a trademark in China owns the rights, irrespective of trademarks held elsewhere.  Having a partner like Primasia is essential to helping you navigate China’s legal and trademark laws.

How-To Get Tender, Juicy Pork Chops Every Time!

Love juicy, delicious pork chops? So do we! Every bite of our amazingly tasty and tender Scan pork is filled with mouth-watering natural pork flavour. We raise our pigs on small Nordic family farms and feed them completely natural diet of GMO-free corn mixed with locally grown rapeseed (which is the reason our pork is so high in natural Omega 3’s!). There are too many times when pork chops simply don’t get the praise they deserve. When prepared correctly, this lean cut is delicious as a tender, flavorful main course. Pork chops can serve as a simple supper, yet also has a place on the table at a nice holiday dinner.
Using a high quality pork, like Scan’s Flowerfed Nordic Pork, helps every meal turn out perfectly. Below we share our top tips for preparing an amazing pork chop dinner!
Avoid buying boneless
In general, it is always better to buy poultry and meat with the bone-in. It helps slow down the process of cooking the meat, thereby giving you more leeway so that you get a nice and crispy sear. Bone-in pork chops also gives your final product a considerably richer flavor.
Use enough seasoning
When preparing a juicy pork meal, you must use lots of salt and pepper. The aim is to apply lots of seasoning so that your crust becomes exceptionally flavorful, thus transforming your meal into a feast!
Let your meat come to room temperature before cooking
Once you remove the pork from the fridge, allow at least 30 minutes rest on your counter before you start cooking. Letting your pork warm up will ensure a nice, tender center with good crust.
Don’t trim off the fat
Rather than cutting off of the little fat layer around your pork chop, capitalize on it to make your meal even more flavorful. Simply stand the chops on their sides and render the fat crispy and brown on all sides.
Always let your pork rest
It’s tempting to want to dive straight into a pork chop fresh out of the pan, but it’s best to wait. Giving the chops a few minutes to rest so the fibers of the meat relax, which make it even more tender and juicy. We recommend cooking your pork until the internal temperature reaches 65°C / 145°F (with a light pink center) followed by a 3-minute rest time.
Quality of Meat
Quality meat is important with all fish and meat, but most importantly with pork. The high-quality fat in our flavourful pork is quick to prepare and stays juicy and tender longer, so cooking time is less critical. Which is very helpful for novice chefs– letting them prepare amazing meals with no worry, and something even the most experienced chef can appreciate.
Fresh from the Nordic countryside, Scan’s Flowerfed Pork is really pure and fresh– the smell and taste is amazingly flavorful! You must pick some up to try today from these ParknShop Supermarkets: Kowloon Tong, Festival Walk – Discovery Bay Plaza – Stanley Plaza – Wan Chai, Hopewell Centre – Tai Tam, Hong Kong Parkview.

The Rise of Asia-Pacific NewLaw Firms: A History

young professional business team talking at the International Financial Center of hong kong china,
Times are changing within the global legal market, and for the consumers of legal services it is definitely for the better. With the now wide range of service delivery options available to clients of all shapes and sizes (from individuals & SMEs to MNCs and banks) it is now definitely a buyer’s market. Cognatio Law is the latest NewLaw evolution in Hong Kong, offering flexible legal and compliance resources, along with a fresh business platform for both clients and consultants.
The term “NewLaw” was first coined by Eric Chin back in 2013 as a stark contrast to BigLaw, after much study of the disruptive innovation taking place during that time within the legal services industry. “BigLaw” is a US legal services industry nickname for the nation’s largest law firms. The definition of NewLaw was provided by Jordan Furlong and Sean Larkan– see box below.

Hong Kong saw its first NewLaw firm appear in 2011 and with the arrival of Cognatio Law in early 2018, there are now 6 in total operating here. What exactly is a NewLaw firm though? Read on:
Originally Eric Chin used the term NewLaw to describe the business model of the USA based alternative legal services provider Axiom. Up until the early 2000s, most companies had limited choices in terms of their access to and choice of legal resources. They would primarily utilise their own in-house legal team (if any) and then the bulk of the legal work would generally get outsourced to outside law firms. Today those same companies have access to a wide range of legal services providers when it comes to assessing and managing their legal resourcing needs. During this same period, NewLaw firms have also evolved and expanded their business offerings to include online legal services, Legal Process Outsourcing (LPOs) and LegalTech platforms.
NewLaw firms can be very beneficial to a company’s bottom line, often representing significant cost savings over a traditional law firm – especially with the ever constant of internal headcount & budget cuts and increased workloads. Lawyers and consultants, such as those employed by Cognatio Law, are able to be engaged without increasing a company’s employee costs or adding to their permanent headcount. Employee overheads such as compulsory social security payments, statutory sick leave and public holiday entitlements are carried by the NewLaw firm.
If your team is facing an increased legal and compliance workload or struggling to meet implementation deadlines imposed by supranational and local regulatory authorities such as the SFC (HK), SFC (US), FSA (UK) and the EU, then engaging a company like Cognatio Law is a smart and efficient way of helping you meet these deadlines effectively and efficiently.
Cognatio Law was established in 2018 by NewLaw industry veteran Lesley Hobbs, with co-founder Tim Fawcett in response to the growing demand for flexible lawyers in Hong Kong.  Lesley Hobbs is a leading business development professional within the APAC in-house legal community. A qualified solicitor in England and Wales, Lesley was instrumental in setting up Hong Kong’s 2nd largest NewLaw firm back in 2013.  If you are in need of additional legal and compliance resources in Hong Kong, it is time to engage the services of Cognatio Law. Please contact us today to inquire further.
