Easter represents renewal and growth- both perfect metaphors for a romantic wedding ceremony! Easter themed weddings are becoming increasingly popular with Spring newlyweds. Here are some tips and suggestions on how to plan a perfect Easter themed wedding that your guests will love!
There are many delicate, beautiful colors to choose from for an Easter themed wedding. Pastels are a very popular choice with light greens, yellows, and blues being very common. Creams and whites make for great accent colors, while turquoise or pink accents can add a little more excitement.

An Easter theme is easy to incorporate into wedding attire too! Lace or chiffon gowns are perfect for the glowing bride, while her hair can be delicately decorated with fresh spring flowers. Greys make for great colors for the groomsmen and will accent wedding colors perfectly. Bridesmaids can accent their dresses with light lace wraps or delicate flowers. Flower girls can also embrace the easter theme by carrying a basket of fresh Spring flowers and small Easter eggs.

Easter themed decorations are a breeze for a perfect wedding! Modern polka dot patterns or stripes are perfect for fabrics, while white baskets full of fresh flowers act as great centerpieces. Fresh rose petals also make for great table decorations. Trees also make for a great decorations, especially when the branches are lined with fresh flowers or small eggs. If a white basket is too ornate for a centerpiece, try filling colorful jars with flower petals as a smaller and more simple substitute.

You can serve traditional appetizers and entrees at your wedding, or you can continue to follow the Easter theme by serving an Easter brunch! Mimosas, eggs benedict, or even an omelette bar are a great start.

Ever since American fashion designer Lela Rose, who was born in Texas, first introduced her wedding gowns to the public, everyone already knew that she was going to be a hit. In fact, her rose to stardom was almost inevitable especially when she designed the outfits worn by sisters Jenna and Barbara Bush at their father’s presidential inauguration. After that fateful commission, Lela Rose has counted celebrities like Molly Sims, Jessica Simpson, Ashley Judd, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Selma Blair and Mischa Barton as her clients. These days, Lela Rose is again making quite a splash after she showed the latest dresses included in her Lela Rose Spring 2012 collection. As expected, the wedding gowns were amazing - so amazing that brides will not help but heave a sigh and gape in awe when they see one, much less try one on. Included in her Lela Rose Spring 2012 collection are a number of strapless wedding gowns, with full, tulle skirts. There are also gowns that have details like gray belts around the waist, lace details on the bodice and seemingly wrap around silk hems.

It may not actually be a popular choice among Hong Kong brides but a lot have donned short wedding dresses. In fact, more and more brides of today find short wedding gowns more practical, “funky” and cool. These short wedding dresses apparently project the image that the brides who wear them are fun, adventurous and pretty “no frills.” But should brides in Hong Kong now opt for short wedding dresses? Do you think this can be a trend real soon? Here are a few of our thoughts. Short wedding dresses are suitable for outdoor summer weddings. If your wedding ceremony will be held at noon or at an hour when the sun is at its warmest, then it may be better to wear a short wedding dress. After all, do you really want to be all covered up when the heat will already become so unbearable?
Short wedding dresses can also be great for beach weddings or for weddings where the bride needs to walk on an aisle other than that’s carpeted or dry. After all, which bride would ever want to stain her precious wedding gown?
So as you can see, while long and flowing wedding gowns are still the most preferred styles by brides these days, there’s no reason for you not to consider short wedding dresses. It can even serve as a “back up” dress or it can be used during the reception or when all the dancing during the reception begins! If you want a couple of choices for possible short wedding dresses, consult HITCHED! Bridal Hong Kong.Visit HITCHED! Two collections made quite the splash during the 2012 New York Bridal fashion week. First was the 2012 David Fielden collection and the other one was the 2012 Rivini collection. The dresses from both collections virtually colored the runway during the New York Bridal Fashion Week 2012 --- much to the delight not only of the potential customers but of the industry buyers and even fellow fashion designers as well. The David Fielden 2012 collection was praised for their “romantic, contemporary designs and high fashion appeal.” Known to be a certified, hands down trend setter when it comes to bridal gown design, David Fielden surprised fashion pundits with wedding gowns that had high neck designs, seventies inspired billowing sleeves, nipped in waists, wide leg jumpsuits and even loads of fabric petals that almost covered the entire gown. The new David Fielden collection served as a welcome breather especially for brides who may have wanted to opt for something different and truly modern --- not just the same old wedding gown that has been sashayed along too many wedding aisles. The designs truly reflect Fielden’s design philosophy, which is to “never be subjected by the limitations of tradition”.
Another bridal gown collection that caught a lot of people’s fancy was the Rivini collection. The designer behind Rivini, Rita Vinieris, chose to be a little playful with the colors of the wedding gowns this time. There were gowns in ecru, ivory and dirty white. Still, the trademark simplicity but masterful design and design execution made the Rivini bridal collection 2012 a delight to watch. There was a fit and flair organza gown in elderberry which would be absolutely perfect for the bride who values romance and her femininity. There was also a show stopping silk organza ball gown style with endless layers of silk organza and pleated tulle that is perfect for the girl who wants to walk down the aisle with drama and flair.
Truly, these two collections were, are and will continue to be the toast of the wedding industry for months. HITCHED! Bridal Hong Kong carries David Fielden and Rivini wedding dresses.
