IDAHOT 2018: International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia
Join us May 12th for a special celebration
May 17th, The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, aka IDAHOT, is an important day for Gay Games 11 Hong Kong 2022 and the whole LGBT+ community! Be sure to attend the IDAHOT Love not Hate at Chater Garden event on Saturday, May 12 at 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM GMT+08. All attendees will be able to enjoy speakers from the EOC Chairman, Trans and Intersex activists.
IDAHOT was first established in 2004 to bring awareness to the violence and discrimination experienced by LGBT+ people internationally every day. May 17 was chosen to commemorate when the WHO removed Homosexuality from its global index of mental disorders– May 17, 1990. Since then, May 17th has become one of the most important dates for LGBT+ communities and is now celebrated in over 130 countries.
