Gay Games 11 Hong Kong 2022 will
be here before we know it- can you believe it’s 2019 already?!? We need
YOUR help to make this amazing sporting and cultural festival that will
promote diversity, inclusion and tolerance throughout the region
possible. We have two large openings to fill for our management team,
Director of Ceremonies and Events Games, and Director of Arts and
Culture. Please see the details of these volunteer opportunities below.

Director of Arts and Culture
In
this position you will assist in developing the high-level plan and
context for the GGHK2022 Cultural Program. In short, you will be
responsible for developing and executing an operational plan, as well as
working closely with our team and community partners. You will be
helping to develop events such as the Choral Festival, Band Festival,
Visual Arts Event and Exhibit, and the Memorial Quilt Exhibition, as
well as collaborating with our Sports Director on the International
Rainbow Memorial Run.
To
fill this management position we are looking for someone with experience
in organizing arts and cultural events. We prefer someone knowledgeable
about Hong Kong based non profits, and with established relationships
within Asia’s LGBT+ arts and culture networks. Please have excellent
communication skills, ethical conduct and leadership skills. Hours will
vary.

Director of Ceremonies and Events Games
In

You
will be helping to develop events such as the Opening and Closing
Ceremonies, Diversity Festival, and Gay Games Village. You will be
expected to plan and organize the ceremonies, events and related
activities program, building networks across Asia and within Hong Kong,
developing a venue plan and executing the events. The director will work
closely with operational partners including the team operating the
Village.
To
fill this management position we are looking for someone with experience
organizing large scale multi venue events. We need a creative and
inspiring event organizer, with excellent communication skills, ethical
conduct, and effective leadership skills.
