Travel Fitness: How To Keep Active

It’s easy to let a vacation or business trip destroy your fitness schedule and eating habits,  leaving you feeling unhealthy upon return. With a little research and planning you can stick to your fitness plan no matter where you travel, coming home feeling more healthy and energized than when you left! Iso Fit is a studio that prides itself on having a wide range of state of the art Pilates and GYROTONIC® equipment for both Private/Semi Private (Studio) Pilates classes as well as group Pilates classes lead by expert instructors. Iso Fit knows how important healthy habits are for both mind and body- and how hard it can be to stick to your routine while traveling. But whether your trip is for business or vacation, you should have some time for yourself every day. Why not dedicate that time to improving your health and making yourself feel better and invigorated?
Here are their tips for staying active and fit while traveling:

Fitness opportunities are everywhere! There are no excuses for not finding places to exercise when every city has staircases, a stadium or tall buildings to climb. Great weather? Head to the local park for a jog or find out the local hiking spots.  Bring your most comfortable shoes, explore the area by foot and make out the best of your trip! If you are new to the place, keep a map with you and seek hotel staff assistance. Find out if your hotel has a workout facility and/or a pool. If they don’t have a facility, they may be affiliated with a local gym where you can get a one-day pass for a small fee. If your hotel doesn’t offer fitness options, bring along travel-size fitness accessories like a resistance band, skip rope, massage ball and some grip socks. These are all lightweight and easy to transport. With just these few products, you can give yourself a great all-round workout. Ask your teacher for travel workout ideas suitable for you – you will be amazed how much easier fitness on the go is when planned ahead of time!

For nutrition, remember to always drink plenty of water and seek out healthy meals- at least the majority of the time. Go ahead and splurge on regional dishes or local cuisine, but balance your diet by choosing lower-calorie foods at other meals. Picking up portable, healthy snacks at a local market will help!
Iso Fit’s expert team is able to tailor group or one-on-one private sessions to every client's requirements, whether you are looking for prenatal/pregnancy Pilates or postnatal Pilates, to improve sports performance, or generally looking to improve your fitness and posture. They also have a physiotherapy clinic offering traditional physio services as well as clinical Pilates in Central, Hong Kong.
