Heliservices has
collaborated once again with HKU SPACE to offer local students the
opportunity to learn about the Hong Kong helicopter industry and
experience flying in a real helicopter-- seeing Hong Kong from a new
perspective flying high above the bustling city and busy people.
Heliservices and HKU SPACE served students and teachers on the 25th of
August 2018, assisting in completing a course subject titled:
“Certificate in Aviation Studies (Senior Secondary Applied Learning)”.
We offer this course as part of our ongoing dedication and social
responsibility to support local students that have a passion for the
aviation industry-- particularly for helicopters!
Heliservices
has been working with HKU SPACE to host this course for four years
running now, beginning in the Summer of 2014. Our aim is to support and
assist local youngsters interested in Hong Kong’s aviation industry, by
offering many of them their first real life helicopter experience!
Students
have the opportunity to speak with experienced pilots and learn about
the business from “the ground up”during our hangar orientation. In
addition our experienced aviation experts offer an introduction to the
business strategy that Heliservices follows with emphasis on past,
current, and future projects and strategies.
The
Certificate in Aviation Studies (Senior Secondary Applied Learning) is
designed to assist to assist Secondary 5-6 students in understanding in
understanding the real world probabilities of the aviation industries,
preparing them for various careers in the field. Included is an
introduction to the aviation industry, with an emphasis on the knowledge
and skills required for aircraft pilots, aircraft structure, operation
and performance, as well as aviation, passenger, and cargo services.
