Organisation is key
Planning
out your schedule ahead of time will help keep you keep on to of your
course load. Do what works best for you– some students prefer arranging
their schedule requirements 6 months in advance, others do better
scheduling week by week. Whatever your method, take time today to
schedule study time vs play time– and be sure to add the required
Polestar course times and dates to your calendar!
Take time to play
Studying
hard and feeling stressed? Don’t forget to move your body – it sounds
obvious but is surprisingly overlooked! Exercise not only releases
endorphins that help you feel happy and relaxed, it also assists you in
becoming in tune with your body. Becoming in tune with your body’s
movement helps you learn its strengths and weaknesses. This is a type of
training in of itself that will both help you manage stress, and boost
your understanding of physical training and movement.
Teamwork
There
are many benefits to studying with a friend or group, one of the most
important being accountability. Are you a huge procrastinator? By
committing to a group that meets regularly, you’ll learn not to leave
studying to the last minute. Group study sessions are also a great way
to be social, network with other (soon to be) Pilates professionals and
can simply be FUN! Learning the material from another comprehensive
student can also help you gain a new perspective on the material.
