This is a great time to try out Scan’s innovative, antibiotic-free, flower-fed pork, which is simple to cook to perfection and full of healthy Omega 3 fats! For years Scan farmers have worked closely with both the Natural Resources Institute Finland and the University of Helsinki to produce award-winning flower fed, Omega 3 pork. Thanks to this extensive research and collaboration, the resulting succulent, nutrient-rich premium pork is now both affordable and accessible to many in Hong Kong.

Scan raises all of our pigs on small, family-owned farms and we feed them a completely natural diet of GMO-free corn mixed with locally grown rapeseed oil seeds. Note that all of the premium pork shipped to Hong Kong from Scan comes from one Nordic Farm, the Antikainen pig farm. The Antikainen pig farm is situated in the municipality of Aura near Turku, Finland and is one of the Scan’s most trusted breeders. Since mid-February 2017, they have produced all of their flower fed pork 100% free from all antibiotics. There are absolutely zero antibiotics in all of the Scan pork shipped to Hong Kong!

We add rapeseed oil seeds to their feed to improve both the texture and flavour of the pork. It also raises the level of Omega 3’s up to 4 times more compared to conventionally raised meat! In turn, saturated fat is reduced producing a delicious, heart-healthy pork. This high-quality fat is distributed throughout the meat, making it extremely tender, tasty and full of the mouth-watering juices that every professional chef or home cook aims to bring to the table.
