This is why business emails should be clear, concise and easy to understand. To help you take a better look at things, Prosperity Research Digital Agency (PRDA) takes the lead to solve your digital problems. With PRDA, you access all the key instruments to make your business a huge success!

According to recent reports by Sendmail and the Radicati Group; the average person using email for business receives and sends over 100 emails a day, and 64% of people have sent or received an email that caused unintended anger or confusion.  Demonstrating that writing clear, professional emails is extremely important to your business, and in life.  By writing clearly, you'll become known as someone who knows what they want and who gets things done. Both of these are good for your business, and career.
So what does it take to write clear, concise, and professional emails?
prda2b.jpg
Always indicate the purpose of your email in clear words so you can save yourself and the recipient from wasting time. Whenever you write, write about one thing at a time; it’s better to include less in emails than just stuffing it with unnecessary material. You can also try to take an emphatic view of your email and its interpretation, by developing “soft skills”. When you write emails, think about your words from the reader's point of view, try adding a word or sentence of thanks- in general a friendly approach is best. Since you’re writing on professional terms, you can add your signature, title and contact information at end (rather than bragging about yourself in the lengthy intro!) if you’re writing someone for the first time.  Always remember to keep the structure simple and precise as possible by using short sentences, words or even paragraphs, limiting to five sentences.
Last but not the least; use active voice and proofread your email for corrections and redundant expressions. Need more assistance? Prosperity Research Digital Agency(PRDA) provides weekly content creation catered to your company, in English, Traditional or Simplified Chinese. Their proven data driven process delivers predictable results driven by organic, real people action. Try their Free Facebook Report and Competitor Analysis here.

Living the Paleo Way

With so much information being tossed around about healthy eating habits, it can be hard to find the best path to follow. For the health conscious a Paleo diet might be the answer- with a whole range of health benefits to offer! Probably the best part about Paleo is that the food can be absolutely delicious and easy to prepare, especially when you include Omega-3 pork from Flodins.
hks1.jpg

The Nordic farming methods that are used by Flodins will produce tender pork, which is juicier and easy to cook. There is an option of eating grass-fed beef, but omega-3 pork has more health benefits to offer. The pigs at Flodins are fed with rapeseed as part of their meal plan. This was after the realization that this would increase the Omega-3 fatty acid content in the pork from these pigs; up to 4 times more compared to conventionally raised meat.  A diet rich in Omega-3 and low in saturated fat has been shown to have many health advantages, including a reduced risk of heart disease. By including Omega-3 pork in your a Paleo diet, you will eat meals that are deliciously healthy and allow you to enjoy real wellness, health, and fitness.
hks1a.jpg
The Paleo diet is motivated by the meal plans that our ancestors ate back in the day. As such, an effective Paleo meal plan will not include sugars, grains, processed foods and dairy products. These food items do not add any nutritional value and are known to be a great health risk. Stay away from these foods since they are known to trigger diseases that will cause inflammation in the body. The Paleo diet thrives on fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, seed, as well as healthy fats from nuts, seeds, avocados, olive oil, Omega-3 pork and grass-fed meat. Food is the source of energy and fuel for the body, and everything that you eat becomes part of all your cells, tissues, muscles and organs.

Pork is one of the most common types of meat in the world and by far Asia’s favorite meat. However, Flodins Omega-3 pork is rich in the fatty acid content due to their diet and the inclusion of rapeseed in the foods that the pigs eat. They use effective quality control measures known to enrich the nutritional value of the pork- the result of 5 years’ extensive research in partnership with selected farmers and Finnish research institutes, including the Natural Resources Institute Finland and University of Helsinki.

Omega-3 Pork is now available at these ParknShop Supermarkets: Kowloon Tong, Festival Walk - Discovery Bay Plaza - Stanley Plaza - Wan Chai, Hopewell Centre - Tai Tam, Hong Kong Parkview.

By the deep blue sea, lies the city of Hong Kong, through which we hope the Gay Games will finally be entering Asia for the first time in their gaming history. The Gay Games have introduced the notion of unity on an international platform that reaches beyond all bounds of ethnicity, culture, sex, age and sexual preference. While Hong Kong has been bidding to host the Gay Games in 2022, the Hong Kong Sailing Federation(HKSF) stands ardently at its back. Both GGHK2022 and HKSF are intertwined due to the similarity in their interests and objectives.

AYO’s Tips to Play a Fearless Audition

Does this happen to you? When preparing for an audition, at first you are all pumped up and ready to face the music in high spirits. But just as you stand in front of the judges, your palms start to sweat, your hands begin to shake and your head gets heavy with all the pressure in your head. These are all signs of anxiety and fear- possibly blocking your musical fluidity and upsetting your audition. To combat this fear and anxiety, preparation is key. Here are a few tips from the Asian Youth Orchestra (AYO) to help eliminate bad audition symptoms and utilize the good ones to help you play and focus even better!
AYO2b.jpg
  • Music Preparation: This may seem like the most obvious statement ever but always prepare your music! A great start to eliminating fear in an audition is knowing you can play all of the repertoire on the list.
  • Eliminate all possible variables(within your control):  Worried you’ll sleep late and miss your audition? Set up a routine ahead of time and practice waking up at the time you need to for the week before your audition. Plan your travel time well, and leave room for any mishaps- get to your audition early rather than late.
  • Be prepared for the unexpected: Prepare ahead of time for variable situations- tell people in mock auditions to have you play things differently just to mix things up. (And really try to do whatever they say!) Have someone conduct you through a few excerpts in case the music director conducts you in the finals. Play with a fan blowing on you in case there is a bad draft. Basically try and get comfortable, just in case you encounter something bizarre.
  • Get mentally prepared: Hopefully you are catching on to the theme of preparation here, but it is key and preparing mentally may be the most important. Try to be motivated by the pursuit of improvement; rather than the pursuit of success. Fear of failure is a large part of why many experience fear and anxiety and by changing your focus to the pursuit improvement, you will find a huge shift in attitude- and hopefully a decrease in your fear and anxiety.

The SnapChat IPO and What the Press Didn’t Tell You

The Snapchat IPO has again rocked the tech world by setting a monumental value on a seemingly silly app whose user base is largely horny 11 - 18 year olds. Founders Spiegel and Murphy became instantly worth an estimated US$5.4 Billion!  But this is much more than another tech/ lottery story where the lucky win big, it also has the David and Goliath angle where they rebuked Facebook’s hostile (not in the traditional financial sense, but in the Mark Zuckerberg saying I am going to fuck you up way) takeover offer of US$3 Billion. But all this is well known. What is less well known is some of the underlying reasons why this IPO is epic and a game changer.

Doug1.jpg

CEO’s, CMO’s, Media Gurus and other buzzword soundbite banter artists have mentioned that “it is good to have other options other than Facebook, Whatsapp (Facebook 2nd) and Instagram (Facebook 3rd). But there is a far more interesting story to tell. A story that makes a shiver run down Zuckerberg’s spine; China!

China powerhouses Tencent and Alibaba have been early investors in Snapchat with Tencent pumping in millions back in 2013. Why would China tech be investing in a silly little app that is banned in China? One word: Payment Gateway.

Doug2.png

Purchases through mobile payment is growing rapidly and there is no place on the planet that has proved that social apps rule in driving online sales better than China . However, outside of China Snapchat is about the only connection China has with the pockets of rest of worlders. Most all social apps being owned by a small group this provides little opportunity for China tech companies like Tencent and Alibaba to tap into the vast and lucrative potential of social media apps as sales portals. Even highly successful apps in China such as WeChat (Weixin) do not cross borders well. Snapchat is the only app of promise to provide an opportunity to revenue flow for China tech companies in the “rest of world” market.

China has not changed its strategy in 1000’s of years. Everything in China stays in China. Everything outside of China stays outside of China and everything outside of China that China wants it infiltrates. It is a sound philosophy that has served well and has not required an update in 1000’s of years. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Facebook beware.

Much success,

Doug
