Wine, Dine, and Fall in Love - Macau’s Valentine Celebration

20160125182554b.jpgWhen we think of celebrating Valentine’s Day, we often conjure images of dining under the stars in Paris or sipping wine and eating pasta near the gondolas in Venice , but love has no boundaries and neither does your airline ticket. With Asia becoming the one of the most desired spots for travelers, you can now add the city of Macau as one of the world’s most beautiful and romantic cities to visit.
Located just about an hour from Hong Kong, the city of Macau was a former colony of Portugal and the last European colony in Asia until it was given back to China in the late nineties.  Refined and cultured, the city’s cultural blend of Portuguese and Chinese influences are felt in its architecture, language and tasted in its cuisine.

20160125182546b.jpgWithin a few short weeks, from February 7th-29th, Macau will celebrate all the splendor of love and romance by hosting its Valentine Light Show. This year, it is called Valentine’s Day Fantasia 2016-the Fairytale of Lights. The event will be held at Taipa Houses-museum and other attractions. The light installments will include thousands of roses while Cinderella’s Glass Slipper will feature its famous fairy tale in 3-D.
If you happen to be fortunate to visit Macau on the world’s most romantic day, you can further your enjoyment by staying and dining at some of Macau’s most luxurious hotels. The Hotel Royal Macau, for example, is one of Macau’s top hotel destinations.  Located at the doorstep of the Guia Fortress, the first lighthouse along the Chinese coast, the Hotel Royal Macau caters to your every need and includes a health club with a heated pool, luxurious facilities and rooms, nearby world class shopping, and some of the finest dining in all of Asia.
