Zafran Hong Kong - Where Tapas meet Musica, a soulful hotspot on Wyndham Street

Discover the hidden secrets of Zafran, a new restaurant that prides itself on its difference from the traditional Spanish ‘theme restaurant’. Instead, Zafran has taken a contemporary outlook, offering what in Spain is called “tapas y musica”. The basement site, a few steps away from mainstream Wyndham Street and just above Lan Kwai Fong, has been opened up to create three unique areas, with an underground vibe combining an informal yet sophisticated feel. The secret garden facade entrance is discreetly located off Wyndham Street in the alley beside Tivo restaurant.

The main dining area is an inviting area with high ceilings, large windows, exposed brick walls and wooden panelling, and seating capacity up to 100 seats for sit-down dining. With private booths and tables for up to six people each, the restaurant also has a well-appointed private dining room that seats up to 20 people, perfect for intimate gatherings or small corporate functions.

Adjacent to the restaurant is a room length cocktail bar. Beautifully lit with carefully selected antique-style bulbs, this area is perfect for after work or late night cocktails. Zafran boasts the largest selection of Cava in Hong Kong, as well as an extensive menu of signature cocktails and sangrias.

Zafran’s third area is a relaxed and discreet ‘tapas  lounge,’ which features a bar positioned in front of an open kitchen, where you can sit comfortably and meet our chefs. Watch them poetically plate tapas, made-to-order!

DJs play smooth beats during dinner which then elevate into more upbeat sessions that stretch into the early hours. Zafran’s grooves are rooted in Afro and Latin House to build up excitement in the room, with some Soulful, Tech House and Hip Hop thrown in to get bodies moving later in the evening.
